Diana nuzzles closer and slowly begins licking the tears from Lydia’s face as fine hairs begin to cover each place the tongue touches.
“Henry? Jacob?”
But her cries die off as Diana takes this opportunity to lap over the nose and mouth of the human.
“No!” Lydia yells trying to push back from the canine. Her yell a hint of bark as nostrils darken and turn moist as her jaw pushes out into the start of a short muzzle. Dazed she wonders why the kennel suddenly smells so strongly of dog when moments ago it had a clean chemical scent. While still able to smell the cleaning chemicals she now can also scent each dog near by.
Diana wags her tail rapidly while pressing harder against her new friend watching as a pair of furry ears perk atop the human head. Wanting the kennel lady to be pleased with her she struggles to hold the resisting human still for the grooming.
