Mika turned the stone around in his hand. The damage didn’t look too bad, and the green glow had faded away. Maybe it had healed itself? As much as he enjoyed his new form, he did not fancy being trampled by a rampaging minotaur. Hesitantly, he tried reversing the spell.
A blinding white flash shot from the stone, nearly knocking both of them over. When the sparks stopped flying, Audrey found herself facing an enormous & shaggy girl minotaur.
“You fool! Now you’re a minotaur too…” she paused, surprised by the childish melodic squeak that came out of her mouth.
“Erm… oops?” Mika looked down sheepishly at the livid satyr boy as he absently fondled his udder.
“AARAGH! Can’t you do ANYTHING right?! I should just have left you behind in the stables!!” Audrey fumed as she pranced around and kicked at the ground with her little hooves in a hissy fit.
“Whoa! That’s some fancy footwork you’ve got going on!” Ed boomed, still a centaur. “We should definitely start a minstrel band, how about ‘Ed and the Merry Myths’? Wait… wait I feel a song coming.” Ed cleared his throat and belted out in a deep baritone “You are the Satyr! Said you'd see me later…but you never calle…OOWH!” he yelped as Audrey head-butted him in his rear.
“How come you’re not affected by the stone?” she huffed.
“Beats me. Maybe centaurs have some special resistance to its power?”
“Well then, why don’t YOU try to change us back?” Audrey handed the stone to Ed.
“Are you sure? I know nothing about magic.”
“Well, things could hardly get worse.” she muttered, looking over at Mika, who was now exploring his breasts with keen interest.
Tentatively, Ed clasped the stone and focused.
