Jim wasn't truly surprised when two young and one elderly native Americans came into the motel reception, you met all kinds in the motel business, and besides, this was Nevada. They politely asked about looking for some people. Jim for a moment wondered about WHY they were asking about it, but the more he thought about it, the more it felt like trusting family rather than strangers. Though the two younger ones were looking panicked and alarmed looking at themselves, shaking their manes and swishing their tails.
But Jim heard their description of a married pair that had come in late and had left earlier that day. Thankfully Jim did not get the Butlers confused with the other married pair that had been there that day. And told them the restaurant he had suggested.
And the three left the reception back to the truck, the first young one said, "Elder! Why did you warn us?" The elderly man, was still 100% human and dressed.
"I didn't know if the change was infectious to those who had been changed by them, now we know. I put up precautions around myself. You should have thought of doing the same. I made sure you'd be aware of your changes if it DID happen though. Consider this your 'reward' for now if things get even more out of control!"
"What about them?" The second one asked gesturing with his hooves at the horse people around them. He was alarmed by how he was NOT alarmed by his own nudity or that of his brother. The pair had gathered up the scraps of their clothes and carried them with them to the truck.
"There is nothing we can do to them, to make them aware would cause a panic, and the more people change, the more reality would begin to adjust to them. The married pair, the Butlers, remain the root of the changes, but if there is a change that if enough change, it'll become self sustaining without them. Now hurry up!"
"But how are we going to comfortably sit in the cabin?" Asked the second.
"You two can sit in the back of the truck, that's why we installed seat-belts," Said the elderly, making it clear he was going to drive.

Meanwhile, a thief entered the diner with the intention of robbing it, but after entering, new instincts formed in his head, and suddenly he felt like he'd be robbing his own mother. And never once drew his hidden gun. The thief, politely turned himself into the police officer there for the three other robberies he had committed back in California. The officer, took him in, doing his duty, happy at least the poor thief had at least seen the light.
