You know that chill that goes up your spine when you’re about to get caught, its part anxiety, part sexual. It was that feeling. Like you’re in a smooth ride and you hit a dip too fast. Because the change was instantaneous. I immediately lost a foot of my height, and my weight completely shifted. I had long curly hair, and glasses, and suddenly felt very exposed. Looking down at myself showed two large mounds popping out over my ribcage, and a dress that looked like the one from the Melissa Redwood poster.
I immediately lifted my hands up for balance. The nails were somehow even painted.
“What did you do?” I asked trying not to panic.
“I made you more approachable.” Lenexa said.
“Why?”
“Because that lonely guy over there has a magic box with pictures that can help me.” she said, putting her arm around my shoulder.
“And if I talk to him, you’ll turn me back?”
“Of course. You’re my anchor to this world, not a doll to play with. I wouldn’t do this unless I thought there was a better way.” she said as she lightly squeezed one of my breasts.
“So what do you want me to ask him?”
“Oh, the usual, what he knows about the gods, about the wonderful heroine Lenexa, and how I might contact the other goddesses.”
With a deep breath, I realized that there was no point in trying to keep my dignity, and just get this over with. Walking in sensible shoes, which I was honestly shocked weren’t heels, I sat down across from the lonely nerd.
“Hi.” I said in the sweetest voice I could muster. It sounded like Mickey Mouse if he was sucking helium.
“Hello.” said the nerd as he shut his laptop to make better eye contact with me.
“Hi.” I said again, using a much deeper voice.
“Can I help you?” he asked with a blank stare. I involuntarily giggled.
He tried to maintain eye contact, but I could feel his gaze lower to beneath my neck.
“I’ve seen you in my Greek History Class.”
“Really?”
“Ya.” I replied, and my heart stopped, when I realised my index finger was twirling a lock of my hair.
“So…”
“I was wondering if you could help me with something.”
“Sure, ya, anything.” he said.
“The legend of Lenexa. I think she was related to Hera, and the Amazons.”
“Give me a second.” he said as he opened his laptop and started typing in some stuff.
I could feel Lenexa’s spirit guiding my movements slightly like animators do in Claymation. I gave her a harsh stare. She gave a huge smile and took a step back.
“Ya, there is nothing on her.”
“Are you sure?”
“Yes. There is nothing on the internet, there is nothing in my notes. But it’s strange, not even a minute before you got here, so guy came up and asked about her too.”
I shrugged and gave and forced smile.
“So what’s your name?” he asked.
“Uh…uh…Heather.” I said after looking at the posters and signs around us for some name to use.
“Well, that’s a lovely name Heather. I’m Mike. Please to meet you.”
“Hi.” I said as I reached out my dainty hand to shake his. His hand shake was just as awkward as mine. Clearly not a lot of people made physical contact with him. He also hadn’t showed that day. My nostrals seemed to be a bit more powerful since my transformation to Heather.
“Well, sorry to waste your time.” I told him as I stood up.
“No, it’s fine. I enjoyed it. I learned something.”
“Me too…um…bye.” I said as I turned around and kept walking.
Lenexa squeezed my ass, causing me to let out a feminine yelp, as a quickly strode away from Mike.
“See, I told you that was a waste of time.” I told her.
“No, I learned something.” she said.
“What was that?”
“That you are adorable.”
I raised my middle finger and stuck it out at her. She didn’t get the meaning of it.
“Can I change back now.”
“Right.” she said, and with a bit of a shock, I felt myself instantly grow larger as my proportions returned to normal.
“I learned that someone erased me from existence.” she blurted out.
