As Ji-Woo left the house and walked to the bus stop around the corner. She heard a yell behind her.
"Hey... Ji-Woo"
She turned round to see Janet's old friend Ben run up to her. Ben was very informal, wearing a scruffy shirt and shabby coat, something that the strict Ji-Woo could not stand. He had brown hair and brown eyes and was tall and thin for his age.
"How can you go out looking like that?" Ji-Woo thought "Don't you know about standards?"
Ben caught up with Ji-Woo as she turned the corner and began speaking to her.
"Did you revise for Mrs Fritz's test?"
"Yes"
"Of course you did"
It was at that moment that Ji-Woo had a wonderful idea. There were very few Exchange students or minorities in her school, what if she could add some? Besides, it would mean that she'd have another friend who could truly understand living in a foreign country.
"Hey Ben?" she inquired
"Yep" he replied
"Can you wear this for a second?" she said pointing at her amulet.
"Sure... why?"
"Just for me" she answered, batting her eyebrows
"Fine" Ben said as he took the amulet from her and put it around his neck.
Ji-Woo smiled at Ben as they arrived at the bus stop.
"Ben, there aren't a lot of foreign or minority girls in our school" she announced to him
"Yes and?" Ben replied
"Could you imagine your dream minority girl or exchange student?"
"Okay" Ben replied, a bit wierded out at the strange question.
He thought up his dream ethnic girl, and then he began to change...
