From the distance he was at, Dave could only make out that Ashlee’s target had been made some kind of cat, and appeared to be made out of rubber as Ashlee came back, licking away at the cone as she knelt down next to him again. “Experimenting? With what?” Ashlee queried, puzzled.
“You’ve been opening your coat bit by bit, are you seeing how far you can go?”
“Perhaps.” Ashlee answered a little teasingly. “And maybe I’ll, let you see a bit more later. In any case, where to?”
