Tyler and Ginny woke up, it looked like a normal apartment, despite they waking on the floor.
"What a trip, Ginny? How do you feel?"
"I feel fine. Are we back into the real world, is this your house?"
"No... and for some reason I don't think so."
The telephone rung suddenly. Fearful of answering , but decided it was for the best.
"Put it on speaker" said Ginny.
"WELCOME HUMANS. YOU TWO WERE CHOSEN TO BE THE HUMAN HOUSE, SO YOU'LL REMAIN UNCHANGED (for now)." Said a You'll find a stock kitchen and the utilities work well in your normal house. You'll find a closet with several change of clothes and basically everything you'll need to survive... for about a day or two."
"What do you mean?" asked Tyler.
"Well I don't want to bored you with the details. Part of the fun is that you find out on your own. But, you'll have to grow your own food. But don't worry they are special seeds of this world that germinate and mature in record time, I should have left an instruction booklet somewhere. Also you can use this phone to communicate with your classmates, you'll find not everyone is as lucky as you. Or perhaps you are the unlucky. Well better read up, see you in a week." the scientist hung up.
"That son of a bitch!" yelled Tyler in frustration. Ginny was more pragmatic and went to check to see if what the scientist said was true.
Sure enough the fridge was pack with food, although it wouldn't hold forever. She then check the bedroom, only one bed, and the closet was full of costumes rather than ordinary clothes: togas, capes, ballerina tights, a three piece suit, you name it. And on the table there was the book.
"Judging by this book, we are tasked with growing vegetables and grains. The seeds are modified to be ripe within a few days. Although..." said Ginny.
"Yes?"
"It's said here that we ought to cultivate for all the others too."
"They don't have to grow their food?"
"Some others grow fruits, other should provide game, as in meat, water, fish, power, and others."
"So even if we compete, we have to work together to survive right?"
"Hmm... maybe, it doesn't say who has to do what? And even then there aren't 13 responsibilities you know... we must consult with the others..."
"Well you do that." said Tyler standing up.
"Where are you going?"
"As far as I can tell, I'll go plough the field for the seeds. You are way better than me organizing and beside someone has to do it right, leave it to me!" said Tyler heading outside, leaving Ginny blushing.
Tyler went to the shed, finding some very basic tools, he took off his shirt and grabbed the plow and headed to work...
