Mary decided to try to concentrate, but it was getting harder and harder as her mind was adjusting to her new three year old body. Adult thoughts and things like that were becoming fuzzy, and she swiftly realized she'd forgotten what their original age had been. Mary didn't know it, but the same was happening to the other girls. If she didn't act quickly, Mary feared she'd forget being an adult entirely.
"Got to think, I've got to wish it right." She thought, then tried to speak. "I whiwth..."
That wouldn't work. It was too hard to speak and she was too afraid to screw it up that way. She would have to hope thoughts worked. She just had to pick an age, struggling with numbers in her head, anything older than 10 was a huge number. "I wish I was the oldest, old enough to talk and think straight!" She thought.
The ring warmed and Mary felt a tingle go through her body, but little did she know that her wish had affected both her and the girls by its vagueness.
