Katherine dejectedly looked at Alan as she picked up her blouse and began buttoning it. "So what are you going to do to me now ?"
Alan smiled mischievously as he looked at the half dressed teen. "We'll Katherine we have two options as I see it," he said. "You can go back to college earn another degree and relive your life all over again. I mean what's a few more thousands of dollars in student loan debt." Katherine angrily glared at him, hating the fact he was now the one in control. "That's a pretty dumb option Alan," she spat. "So what's option two."
Alan smiled broadly as he stared at the young college girl. "Well Katherine," he smiled. "Or would you prefer Kathy or Katie at this point."
"What's is it Alan," she grumbled. "Will just freakin tell me all ready!"
"I was thinking we could play a game," he stated. "I'll give you a chance to win back your years if you answer my questions correctly."
Katherine looked at Alan glumly. Her options were limited at this point since only Alan could use the Chronovac and she believed herself to be up to the challenge. " Okay Alan," she said. "I'll play your stupid game so,,,,,what is it, cards, ball."
"I was thinking trivia," he said smugly. Katherine burst into laughter at that idea. "Trivia seriously," she laughed. "I own a Ph.d in biology and chemistry. You might as well age me back to 32 now. Their no way I can lose."
Alan smiled as he calmly sat down in a chair. "Glad you agree to the game Katherine," he said. "But I should tell you theirs a catch. If you get an answer wrong I will make you younger."
"Fine, fine," Katherine stated smugly. "Let's get this over with so I can get back to normal."
Alan smiled. "Great so here's your first question Katherine. Who won the NCAA basketball championship in 1976?" Katherine's jaw dropped as she gave Alan a befuddled look. She had not considered the trivia questions would be sports related. "Alan that's not fair," she whined. "When you said trivia I thought you would be talking about actually knowledge."
"Oh don't worry I'll get to that," he said calmly. "But trivia means all trivia. So Katherine last chance who won in 1976?"
"Alan you know damn well I don't know," she stated firmly stomping her foot. Alan shook his head and smiled. "Oh I'm sorry to hear that Katherine," he said with a fiendish smile as he pressed the Chronovac.
Katherine felt the energy of the device spread over her as she stared in the mirror. The 19 year old watched as her face became smoother and more innocent, her curves receding slightly as her shirt became slightly looser. The feeling passed leaving Katherine an 18 year old high school student.
"Damn it Alan," she yelled in a young voice. "You did that on purpose. You know damn well I don't know sports!"
Alan laughed softly as he looked at the young teen in front of him. "We'll Katherine remember you agreed to this," he laughed. "Trivia is trivia, it covers all areas. If you want we can stop now, I mean I'm sure your senior year of high school will be a lot more fun the second time around."
Katherine glumly looked at herself in the mirror as she thought about her options. Scuffing her bare feet on the floor she sadly considered her options, give up and go back to high school or chance becoming younger with the opportunity to become her old age again. "Come on Katherine," Alan said gleefully. "What do you have to lose, except a few years."
