Harry was thinking about putting his best friend Philip into that hot cheerleader Angie's body. Harry always wished that he could find a girlfriend like Philip, but he wasn't sure how Philip would react to waking up in Angie's body. Maybe he'd prefer to be Jenny, or Rachel? As he rifled through the manuals, and examined the equipment, Harry bumped or pushed something and a secret panel opened. Inside was a very old journal and a device that looked like it was put together with spare parts. It looked so unprofessional compared to the other devices, but it was plugged in, the red light on it was illuminated and it was humming.
Harry stared at the device, then he opened the tattered journal. It was his father's handwriting, but it was dated from when his parents first wed.
The first page of the journal read, "REALITY ALTERING DEVICE - or how to make your dreams a reality." The book continued detailing theories about infinite parallel universes arranged like rope of twisted strings , and how you might be able to alter realty, by selecting alternate strings and reweaving reality. Harry's father theorized that he could amplify his brainwaves using the reality altering device or RAD to reshape small bits of the universe. Experiment One, apples had always been a boring white or yellowish white fruit, and Harry's father claimed apples now had a red varieties, and people always thought they had been. Harry scratched his head, of course, apples were red, but could they have been white once? Experiment Two, Dream Date. His father wrote that he had dreamt of the perfect woman. It was Harry's mother. Wait! She wasn't real - or at least she hadn't been in this reality until Harry's father had dreamt her up. That's why the machine was still running? If it got turned off, would apples turn white? Would his mother vanish? Would he vanish?
Harry took the notebook, but carefully closed up the hidden panel after making sure the machine appeared to be running normally. Then he went to his room to think, and read more...
