Transform or Dare?

A Lover Who Understood

added by Vocal 8 years ago A

"Well...I hope that this is enough to help you, Jenny. Here." Megan said, as she slipped a piece of paper into Jen's left hand. Slowly creeping her head up to see what it was that Megan gave her. From there, the depressed reindeer girl began to pull her hand closer to see what was given to her, flipping the paper over to see it, despite her clumsy-looking hoof-like digits. It was revealed to her that both Megan and Liz had given her something special and meaningful to Jennifer; a photo of her and her boyfriend, Dalton Garrett, together.

In the photo, she and Dalton were on the Ferris Wheel, where they shared a passionate and loving kiss while on a date. Fortunately for Jen, she could see that her lover was still very much human as she remembered him, despite that she wasn't human anymore. She could see that her friends had the picture laminated for her, preserving that loving memory she had with him. Aside from her family, Liz, and Megan, Dalton was the only other person that understood Jen and her Bipolar Disorder. After all, he confessed to her that he had was diagnosed with ADHD when he was only 3 years old, which made Jen feel even more comfortable around him.

Seeing that photo brought up all of those happy memories she had with him, as Jen began to start crying again, causing a few tears to drop and land onto the laminated photo, whimpering, "Dalton.... *repeated sobs* Da-a-alton.....Dalto-o-o-on...*repeated sobs and whimpers*" Although they were now unsure on if she was now shedding tears of happiness, sorrow, or both, Liz and Megan could see that Jen felt really heartbroken because she was so far away from him, as Liz looked at Megan and whispered, "Wow, I.....I guess Jen really does miss him, after all."

"I don't blame her, Liz. After all, she and Dalton were nearly inseparable, so much it must've been uber hard for her to say goodbye to him." Megan answered, causing her newfound reindeer ears to droop down from both sadness and sympathy toward the grieving Jen, which made Liz shed a few tears of her own for her friend. Besides, ever since they were little, Jen, Liz, and Megan were like sisters to one another. Sure, they would fight on occasion, but no relationship is perfect.

And seeing Jen going through an emotional turmoil like this was heart-wrenching for Liz and Megan, despite being unaware of Kyle's actions and what he did that altered the world that Jen knew and grew up in. "Poor Jenny. I bet Dalton must be going through a lot without her.*sob*" Liz said, calling Jennifer by her childhood name, resisting the urge to cry for Jen's sake. "*Sob* Yeah, I could definitely see why Jen instantly fell in love with him. Those two were made for each other." Megan replied, starting to shed some tears herself, but resisting the urge to cry as well.

Although this was such a tear-wrenching moment, Liz and Megan understood that Jen isn't exactly emotionally stable. Wanting to prevent her from getting sick or freezing to death, Liz and Megan helped carry Jen inside.
