Lunchtime on what was actually a fairly quiet day for Jenny though other than Kevin, she was alone as she ate.
“Not too long left to go then.” Kevin spoke just loud enough that only he and Jenny could hear him.
“Hmm?” Jenny tried to ask as she swallowed.
“Your Wedding.” He clarified. “Not too much longer ’til the day arrives.”
“It’s getting closer, but we’re getting through everything that’s needed to be done for the day and after.”
Kevin nodded approvingly at that. While not having quite the same experience with that himself, his own being a far smaller and less formal affair, he did suspect that there would be enough similarities for him to at least be of some help if needed.
“So what’s left? To be worked out?”
“The Dress and Suit we’re taking care of at the next consultation, when picking a good photographer and music will be taken care of, after that we just need to work out the food and drink.” Jenny ticked off her mental list of tasks still to be concluded before the day itself arrived.
“And a rehearsal?” Kevin wondered aloud.
“Planned for the day before.”
“I see.” Kevin seemed to take his time as he thought something over in his head, debating whether or not to bring it up before finally deciding. “So about being more like your soon-to-be husband, you know, with the scales and that, still no decision on that?”
“You mean whether or not I take the serum myself? I’ve been thinking about it lately, a lot, but I don’t think I’d take it just yet. If at all.” Jenny admitted after some moments of deep thought. “There’s still too many risks and variables with it, still too easily transmittable, and to stop that downside to it is still in its early days, and even on an accelerated development, will still take some time to be ready.”
“And then there’s the subject of kids.” Kevin added.
“Yes, there is.” Jenny nodded. “But we think we can wait a few years for that, and there is a measure in place to make sure that it’s still an option even if I stay human.”
“You’ve really got your bases covered it seems.” Kevin approved of the measures they had in place.
“That we do.” She agreed with his assessment, even if the very fact they had all those options available to them was part of the reason that deciding on one was proving to be challenging for her.
“Now, what about, those two?” Kevin changed the subject, taking care not to push it too hard.
“Them? They’ve been quiet so far, so there’s that.” Jenny answered quietly. “I just hope it means they’ve stopped.”
“Well, if they don’t, let me know.” Kevin replied warmly before checking the time. “Almost time to get back to work now.”
“I suppose so.” Jenny got up and began to make her way back to her office. Still, simply having someone else to talk about all these things, it did help her a little, made it all a little easier on her, making her feel that little bit better and more able to take them on.

During this time Clemens had been reading over the e-mail he’d received from Joseph, detailing his travel and accommodation plans for the Wedding. It was good that he’d managed to make the time to come over for it, and it was equally clear he was doing what he could to make sure he’d be giving him and Jenny all the personal space they could get and he was grateful for it, even if it meant they’d not see each other as much as would otherwise be the case. Still, it was the time for him and Jenny, so naturally she would be getting his own attention and he did silently thank Joseph for factoring that in. Clemens did notice a question concerning the use of personal cameras and camcorders for the Wedding, which was a question he noted down to ask at the next consultation.
Checking it over again, he sent a reply to let him know he’d received the e-mail, was looking forwards to when he’d arrive, and would let him know about personal recordings once he had an answer from their Wedding Planner.
