Alex looked at his father with a pained look on his face. "Dad, how do I just, go on?" Alex opened his mental maturity graph showing his father where he use to be and where he is now. "I am proud of the person I have grown into, despite everything I did the right thing and managed to fix all the damage mom caused. I... I don't want to go back to who I was before this, I can't, and I shouldn't."
"Son, what your mom did was terrible and I would never do anything like that to you."
"I know dad, I'm almost curious to know what you would do, but I can't think like that. I see three options for when we go back..."
1. I restore your youth and you become my older brother. We lost our parents in a tragic accident and we look out for one another. I'm still 15 and can trust you completely. You, being 23, are my legal guardian.
2. I become 23, independent, college student, you are still my father and we have a good relationship.
3. I make a new life for myself, and you, we both go our separate ways and have good lives.
Dad was taken aback, to say the least. "Son, lets just go through the door and see what happens. If we don't remember this, so much the better right?"
"Dad, This is who I have become, destroying my memory of what happened would destroy me, turning me back into a child that didnt know bad things like this could happen. I have the program, I need to understand the evil it could unleash. Simply walking through that door would be the worst thing I could do for the world."
"Son, you have grown up too fast. I love you, no matter what." With that, Dad hugged and kissed Alex. Picking up the dog he walked to the door.
"Dad... Dad!!!" Alex screamed.
Dad turned back at the door and smiled with a tear in his eye. "You're a man now son, you'll make the right choice, I know it! I'm proud of you whether you are my son, brother, or neighbor down the hall you son of a bitch." Dad smirked and raised the puppy that was once his mother, then grabbed the door knob and poofed away with the dog leaving Alex alone with some terrible decisions to make.
