Rather than a decision, Kyle heard a click. Jen made up her mind to hang up before he could continue.
“That bitch hung up on me...” Kyle though as he listened to the repeating tone that followed. “That’s not going to save her from the curse...”
Little did she know, Kyle had already experienced the power first hand. In fact, his curse and the events that followed are what lead to this attempt at revenge. As far as he knew, it began with Sam. She ruined his life and made it so he couldn’t return the favor.
“That’s fine...” He thought as he lowered phone. “If I can’t curse Sam, then I’ll just transform her best friend...”
He knew that anything he said, dare or transform, would come true. However, the thought of delivering her curse verbally was far more appealing. What sort of revenge would it be if Sam didn’t know he had done it? Still, he had the foresight to know that she might suggest using the curse to undo what he had done. Perhaps he could get revenge on her after all.
With that in mind, he decided to set some conditions before calling back. “Since you didn’t choose, you’re gonna get both.”
It felt strange to speak to an empty room though he knew it wouldn’t matter. The moment he asked the question, his words held power. Besides, this part of the curse wasn’t something he wanted her to know about. At least not at first.
“Your dare will come in several parts...”
“First, if you exchange the curse with Sam, you’ll unintentionally sabotage her with whatever thoughts you have in your subconscious. You’ll also forget what you said immediately after. If there’s an opportunity to make Sam forget as well, take advantage of it.
“Second, you will call me back and listen to what else I have to say.”
He waited, expecting the phone to ring at any moment...
