"I don't want this job. Please change me back." Steve pushed the hair trimmer away. This job was more than just uncomfortable. It was dangerous. The hair trimmer was the size of a lawn mower to Steve and he didn't have shoes on (or anything else on either) and the ground (Dan) could move at any moment.
"It's a little late to quit." Belinda said, "You already have a client. If we have to give Dan his money back it's coming out of your paycheck and you already have to pay Tiny Services back for shrinking you in the first place. How will you ever earn enough to pay for the reverse procedure at this rate?"
Steve yelled, "They shrunk me against my will. I'm going to sue them and make them pay."
Belinda said, "Listen honey. You better face reality here. Before you go bringing a frivolous lawsuit that you will probably lose, you should know that the world does not owe you a living. You are not entitled to be paid for no work. I see it all the time. Tinies like you come along and you expect to be pampered without having to do anything to earn it. If you even manage to get to court, no judge is going to want to listen to your bellyaching. Your tiny little voice is of no regard. Now either get to work or I'll take you to the infirmary." Belinda gave Steve's tiny ass a swat.
Steve stood there for a while looking for an escape but the table was too high above the floor. Steve didn't know if he would survive the fall. He muttered.
Belinda said, "You have to yell if you wish to be heard. Your voice is just too tiny and squeaky like a mouse. Since you're giving me attitude, I'm going to stay and supervise, make sure you do a good job. Consider this on the job training." She pushed the trimmer toward Steve.
Steve decided to risk death. He ran to the other side of the table and jumped off. He saw the floor approaching fast and he covered his eyes expecting an impact. He landed on a pillow but even with the pillow cushioning him, the impact stunned him.
Belinda yelled, "You're lucky I kicked that pillow over there." She reached down and picked Steve up. "You probably would have survived the fall anyway but where did you think you could run to? It's dangerous on the floor. Someone could step on you accidentally."
She placed Steve back on Dan's back and prodded until Steve started trimming Dan's back hair. Dan's hair was thick and at Steve's size, it was like walking through really tall grass. In some places, it came up to Steve's shoulders. Belinda gave Steve a broom like tool to sweep the cut hair off of Dan's back.
It wasn't that difficult of a job. It was like any other lawn mowing job except for how tall the hair was. Steve tried his best not to think about the ass crack he had to mow. Steve didn't want to look down to see what was at the bottom of the cliff between Dan's legs.
Finally, Belinda said, "I think I can trust you now. You're doing alright but if you do try to run away again, I won't be responsible for your safety." She left the room.
Steve paused. He only had two options, finish mowing or do nothing. He wondered if he finished mowing, he would probably have to mow another client. If he did nothing, Belinda might get mad and she already demonstrated that it would be hard to get away with anything under her supervision. Steve continued mowing leisurely as he thought.
Dan asked, "Hey Steve. I'm so glad to see you finally have a job. I'm going to ask for you to mow my back from now on. Won't that be nice?"
