As Josh talks to the coach he is taking in all of the coach's being.
He steps out of the office and as he does so the coach changes into Chad. But not Chad. Looking into the mirror he sees Chad but he knows who he is. That rotund former jock that once had a chance to be great. He heads for the door to stop Josh but as he does so he realizes that he has another chance to be that football star that was cut short.
That Thursday he would play as Chad. He started to go home to his wife and kids but then realized he had to go home to Chad's house and be Chad. He had to go to school as Chad. And there were so many questions about what happened to the coach.
Thursday came and the assistant coach took over and there was Chad back in playing. It was on his first play the other team sacked him and snapped his knee. Coach was rushed to the hospital and his knee was repaired but he would never play again.
Having lost his football career in college he was able to earned his teaching degree and become a coach his life had been good. But having lost his career as a student he couldn't afford to go to college, become a teacher or a coach this time and he became a trash collector. His life changed drastically because of his demand from Josh but the coach's tendencies developed even more so as Chad. Where he was able to control some of his weight through coaching and getting some exercise he just grew fatter and fatter in his new career. A wife that liked to cook didn't help either.
Coach and his wife had several children trying to relive his sports career through them but not a one of them showed any interest in sports. They grew to be just like their daddy.
Coach should have left Josh and Chad alone.
