Cathy woke up softly. She was in her bed, in her dorm, at her school. A sigh of dissapointment escaped her lips, as she slowly realized her dream was just that; a dream.
What was it about, she thought to herself.
She was at a bar, she ate a hamburger, then she turned into a lioness, broke up with Scott, and went to a gym. Other than the lion part, it seemed believable.
She didn't know what upset her more. stil. being with Scott, or not being a lion. It had been so empowering, she thought to herself, to be so large and powerful.
And beautiful, she remembered, reminiscing on her much improved appearance.
After ten minutes or so, she finally forced herself out of bed. She exhaled deeply, preparing to return to her life. She stretched her arms, straightened her hair, whipped her tail-
"Tail" The word raced through her mind as she acknowledged the new appendage. She reached behind her back, and wrapped her hand around a long, furry tail, coming from the base of her spine.
Hurriedly, she checked over the rest of her body. Claws. Ears. Teeth. Nose. Mane. Everything was there. Her dream had, quite literally, come true.
"If the dream was true, then Scott..." She laughed as she remembered the events at the bar, her body changing in front of his eyes, her leaving him behind. She played the scene over in her head, over and over, and still it brought tears to her eyes.
At last, Cathy stood up, and caught her breath, finally realizing her situation. She was free from her boyfriend, she had a lovely new body, and she wasn't afraid anymore.
And, without a worry in the world, she strutted out of her dorm into the world.
