The park was never too far from Sam's home, conveniently enough, and soon Kyle and his band of diapered girls made it to the playground area. Everywhere there was something here or there that small children could play on. A giant fortress filled with monkey bars, interactive tic-tac-toe blocks, several slides and a swing attachment. Two see-saws were sitting several feet from the arena, several rocking horses stood in the opposite end and the entire area was covered in nothing but sand. A small child could get lost in their creativity. However, there was only a slight detail that didn't seem to make this a merry place to be
"It looks a lot smaller than I remember", Crystal whispered, nostalgia running her thoughts.
"Don't worry. You girls are going to be just fine", Kyle said, "Hopefully".
"Hopefully?" Sam asked, concern replacing her features.
"Sand does tend to be very grating", Jen replied, reminiscing her days on the beach surfing, "Not to mention it gets practically everywhere".
"Kyle, are you sure this is where you wanted us to go?" Rebecca asked, "I mean, sure it would be embarrassing if someone saw Sam ("Hey!", Sam cried in indignation) and it is pitch black out here, but wouldn't it be better if we went to the mall or the movies, or-".
"Now why would you girls all want to do that?" Kyle asked, a smirk on his face, "After all, you're not even teens yet".
The command echoed into each of the girls brains as they stood there. They all shook there heads as they readjusted, but it was Cassie whom commented first, "Mr. Dalton, sir, Mom told us we had to come back inside when it got dark, or we'd be in trouble".
"Don't worry, Cassie", Kyle replied, "Your mom's gave me very loose terms in what you could do, as long as you weren't hurt. It's not everyday you turn eight, isn't it?"
"Eight?" Sam asked, looking confused, "But, Mr. Dalton, we're eleven years old".
Kyle chuckled to himself. This, coming from a seventeen year old, was nothing short of hilarity, "Well, now you are all mentally seven. How's that?"
The girls froze again, but this time, after a short moment, the girls cried out in joy as the girls ran off, but Kyle held back Sam, "Hold up there, Sam".
A look of worry and need was placed on Sam's face as she watched her friends leave, "Yes, Mr Dalton?"
