After landing at the pier, the boistrous 7-year old Martin insisted on going to the island zoo. His loyal older brother Miles begrudgingly agreed, and little 3rd grader Robert jumped in as well...Miles suddenly had panic in his eyes, how was he going to take care of two energetic little kids by himself? The rest decided to go to the beach, and Luis, torn but stomach-ache calming down, decided that maybe looking at some animals with his buddy´s little brother would be more relaxing than trying to pretend he was okay around his ex-girlfriend Angela (who was going to the beach).
The two teenagers and the two little ones headed up the hill, following the signs to the island zoo, which has free entry! Just past the gate, hippos to the left, elephants on the right, then came monkeys, llamas, giraffes...the whole world in one spot. Martin and Robert were absolutely enchanted as the two high school boys sat back and tried to enjoy each other´s company and bask in the glow of that enchantment (technically second cousins, Luis and Miles had never been that close, but weren´t really enemies either). Martin barked his approval at the exhibit of big wolves...literally, he barked. A lot.
´´That kid is so weird´´ remarked his older brother Miles. ´´Must be genetic´´ fired back Luis.
They must have seen at least 50 different exhibits before they came across a rather unique one. You could step in yourself for a few minutes into a room and yourself become the exhibit. Human, homo sapien, you are the attraction. A few minutes of fame and gawking, getting the full experience. All four boys decided to sign up for this´, as the room behind glass was at the moment empty. The zoo staff came them a soccer ball and said ´´just have fun in there, boys! You get 10 minutes!´´´ Luis was not sure why...but his stomach ache had returned when the zoo lady touched his shoulder. it was practically doing flips. But he put on a brave face for the little guys, and got to playing.
The soccer game between the four of them lasted exactly 1 minute before a stray kick sent the game ball down a narrow back staircase at the back of the exhibit. Martin, barking again, ran down the cement steps after it. When he didn´t come back quickly, the other 3 boys followed down after him...and the door shut behind them. A breeze blew cold as darkness came down.
´´Hello boys, and welcome.´´
A voice from nowhere pierced the darkness, and suddenly a dim light flipped on. The three who stood there realized almost immediately that they were completely naked, dongs hanging out as much as they had on the day they were born. At this point, Luis´s stomach was basically doing jumping jacks and his muscular arms were twitching.
And did Miles have a stiffy?
´´Welcome to the island, and your new lives. We have to do a very quick test if you will excuse us a moment, but bear with us´´
Miles and Robert both screamed, but Luis figured it would be useless. Red lasers bathed them in light running up and down their bodies, the whole length. There was still no sign of Martin, audio or visual. Miles demanded to know where his brother was, but the voice did not return until the lasers stopped, when it announced,
´´ok, we have your assignments. Get ready for a ride. And Luis, congratulations are in order, you have the highest sperm count.´´
At that moment, all three of the boys felt their bodies begin to move and shift...
