At the exact moment that he touched the button and initiated the changes, he began to feel a bit odd. It took mere seconds for the thick, shaggy white and dark gray fur to start sprouting all over his body. Quickly he took off his clothes while trying to keep in step with his transformation into a large, Old English Sheepdog. And as he stripped himself of his clothing, he couldn’t help but be delighted at how stocky, how shaggy his new body was becoming.
His new body, he happily noted. He felt relived that he was still going to be a male. He watched his penis slip into its new home and smiled.
His hips changed and he fell to all fours. By now, he knew he was very much on his way to becoming an Old English Sheepdog. His muzzle pushed itself forward and quickly disappeared from his view as a shaggy veil of fur covered his eyes. His ears grew floppy and drop to the sides of his shaggy head. He twisted upon himself and watched as a stub of a tail sprouted from his bear-like rump. It wasn’t a full tail like you would find on any other breed of dog, but having it didn’t mean the end of the world.
He looked back up at the computer as the final remaining seconds ticked down to zero on the screen. As the timer reached zero, a dialog box popped up on the screen saying "Adjusting Reality, Please Wait."
Jeff felt dizzy for a moment, and it passed he saw that his room was now very different than before. The room now looked like a workplace for his dad. All of his furniture had replaced with office material and a rather plush-looking dog bed and some dog toys. His clothing was gone. And with a slight start, he realized that the Chronovac emitter was gone. The computer was still there, but the screen was showing something else on it instead of the Chronovac program. The Chronovac was probably in another room of his home or had never been bought. He didn’t know what that meant for him. Would or could he turn back into his former human self without it.
Jeff felt his initial worries about this new reality slip away as there wasn’t much he could do about it. He would just have to check out the rest of his home for the emitter. But if it wasn’t here in this reality’s version of his home, it would still not mean the end of the world for him. It would mean staying as a large, friendly sheepdog for the rest of his now shortened life. And since he had selected random time, he could change back at any time... or not at all!
Oddly enough, Jeff didn’t find himself bothered by the fact that maybe the changes were permanent. He was a sheepdog and he felt okay about that. He knew that the way he felt about his current predicament was part of the conditioning. That he instinctively felt right at home as a sheepdog.
He got up onto fours and decided to explore his home to see how different it was in this new reality. Once outside his father’s home office, he stopped for just a moment as he heard a tinkling noise. It took another moment for him to realize that he was wearing a dog collar complete with dog tags. The mere thought of him wearing the tags brought forth some memories of being an Old English Sheepdog.
He was named Champ by his little brother now friend, Richie.
He panted contentedly and padded out of the room to explore his surroundings.
