Ken liked that he had this power in hands. The book that allowed him to change anything about the human anatomy - that was quite something. And seeing his sister briefly lactate was a proof that it worked.
Ken flipped back and forth through the book but once again his attention stopped at the page about the female breasts. In the end he was a teenage boy and girls chests simply fascinated him. He didn't understand why he found breasts so intriguing but well, there he was, reading through the entry again.
In his imagination, Ken frequently liked to play "what-if" games with himself. He would imagine one tiny thing being different from reality and he was trying to predict what consequences that would have on the world as we know it. He wanted to try something similar this time. Change one subtle thing and look for what other changes occurred to the world because of it.
"The size and weight of breasts vary largely from individual to individual and tend to be hereditary. The average weight of a pair of breasts is about 1 kilogram or 2 pounds."</i> he read.
"Hmmm... I have an idea." Ken took a pen into his hand and proceeded to erase "average" and "about 1 kilogram or 2 pounds". He knew that some women liked their breasts and some didn't. There was many who thought theirs are too small and maybe some who wished theirs were smaller. There were probably as many opinions on breasts as there were women sprouting them and Ken wondered what would happen if every woman got exactly what she wanted. Or maybe actually more than that.
"The weight of a pair of breasts is just enough to make their owner wish they were smaller". Ken filled the blanks he made. Then he smiled to himself. He liked this idea. Now each woman would have to go through life with exactly the same experience of breasts - having them grow to be always slightly too hefty to be comfortable. He wondered how that would change the world. Surely women will still have boobs of varying sizes just because everyone will have their own weight that would make them uncomfortable. But there were other things to consider. Will breasts be less sexualized by men or more? Will more elaborate bras be a thing? Will women be more self-conscious about showing them off? A world without cleavage was not something he was aiming for but he was interested to see the results of his change even more so.
He closed the book and turned to leave his room to see the effects of the change on his sister but he stopped just before he had a chance to touch the doorknob. He thought he actually liked that idea A LOT. The idea of changing little things to make them uncomfortable for everyone. He had two more ideas he wanted to write into the book before leaving to see the effects.
Firstly he flicked to the page describing the general female physique. He remembered his sister kept complaining about being too tall and he ha to give her that. At 6'1'' she was definitely the tallest girls in their school and her complaints about not being able to find well-fitting clothes or boys taller than her were absolutely valid. Ken wanted to see if she will complain equally is she is on the other end of the height spectrum.
"In the US the average height of a human female is 5 foot 4 inches." he found the fragment he was looking for. He erased the "average" again and changed the end of the entry so it read "In the US the height of a human female is always a couple of inches less than what she would be comfortable with."
Awesome. For the last change he had to flip to the "male reproductive system" section of the book. Ken always considered his penis smaller than average but he didn't have any particular problem with that. However another guys in his soccer team did. They liked to laugh and point out how much larger theirs are. Ken was wondering how different the world would be if all men had a "little too much of the good thing"... Would they still tease him for being smaller?
He found the appropriate fragment and changed it to read "The size of human penis is such that its owner always wishes it was slightly smaller."
He put a dot at the end of the sentence and closed the book. Immediately he felt something was off in his pants. And he was pretty sure what it was.
