The door slammed open. His dad was angry again. "I told you to clean the garage but here you are again playing with your computer. What weird game are you playing now?"
Jeff's dad was Bill, a workaholic. Bill was a mechanic so he didn't have to work very hard but Bill preferred machines over people. Even when Bill was home, he spent most of his time in the garage tinkering with his collection of machines.
Bill ignored Jeff because Jeff wasn't as into machines as he was. Bill preferred his other son, Greg because Greg also enjoyed tinkering with machines. They spent hours together in the garage playing around with their tools.
Jeff didn't want to tell his dad the truth. "I don't know what game this is. I just got it in the mail."
Bill said, "You were supposed to ask permission before you installed it. Now get out and start working on the garage. I'll check out this game and let you know if I'll allow you to keep it."
Jeff hated that idea but it was best to go along. Bill wasn't as good with computers and probably would not be able to figure the game out. Bill might take the game away but if Jeff didn't get out to the garage, he was certain Bill would take the game.
Jeff got out to the garage and wondered how to clean it. There were all these weird shaped pieces of metal everywhere and Jeff had no idea what any of the pieces were.
Meanwhile, Bill noticed that the computer's scanning had finished. On the screen was a window for each person in his family with stats. Bill opened his own window and was amazed at how accurate the stats were. The Chronivac listed things about Bill that even Bill didn't know. Bill spent time studying the stats for the rest of his family. Then he notices under Jeff's stats that Jeff fantasized about being transformed and the Chronivac listed the transformations that Jeff would enjoy.
