Jeremy, Abbie, Hope, and PC and New Derrick had no idea what was happening with New Julie, now Zuri. The faulty magic confined to Zuri and those she infected. The five new friends just been performing physical activities, and helping New Derrick deal with not having access to modern electronic entertainment on their vacation as you'd normally expect.
While New Derrick didn't remember being older, or being Julie at the moment, (but would recall the instant the vacation ended or Jaali used a fail-safe he'd built in in case of emergencies, they wanted to keep their customers' trust after all), he did recall needing to do 'home work' about lions, and had asked his new friends on anything they had picked up during their time.
The five wondered when New Julie would be getting back, her reason for leaving had been rather odd. And when dinner time would roll around and the hotel's restaurant would start serving.
Zuri exited the giant tree hotel (the glorified tree house had been an expensive construction project unto itself) on the ground floor, not having met anyone else yet, she spotted the five cubs. Naked and without markings or anything. She paid no mind to the other tribes mingling about enjoying their vacation.
Abner had long since become comfortable being Abbie while at the park, but was a bit amazed at how quick Julie and Derrick had taken to their new genders, even if she knew how quickly everyone on vacation here 'acted their age.' After all, all of them had their ages cut in half. And was enjoying New Derrick's company as a friend. Jeremy likewise. Abbie took some pride in how she had accepted a balance between the human man she was on the inside, and the lion girl she was at the hotel.
Penelope Carlson AKA PC was always a tom boy at heart lion girl or not, and was enjoying her vacation here immensely. Plus at this age, people didn't mind tom boys so much.
Hope had said next to nothing about herself, other than her dislike of shots, and was far more interested in the others.
They managed to recognize Julie in spite of her changes in appearance and demeanor. Though Abbie did frown a bit at the spear. Where did Julie get that from? There was no game hunting on the hotel grounds, and it wasn't like the guests were going to eat each other.
Abbie knew her family had diplomatic immunity, but she didn't want to see her new friend get into trouble for taking things here too far.
Hey Julie!" Hope waved at her. "What kept ya? And where did you get all that stuff? Is that some new activity they're offering? I didn't see it in the brochure!"
New Derrick was rather freaked out at seeing his sister having 'gone native' in the span of a few minutes since he last saw her. "Sis', are you feeling okay?"
He didn't want to think about what mom and dad would think.
