It was about 30 minutes after the attempted kidnapping - and likely murder - of Danielle and Sally when the Police arrived, four in total.
“Who’s in charge here?” One of them called out.
“That would be me. Robert Coleman. Warehouse Supervisor.” He identified himself though stayed where he was.
“Then before we begin, we’ll need a room to take statements in, and access to any security footage you have concerning what happened here.”
“I already have one such room prepared, this way.” He motioned for the officer in question to follow him, but not before he had something to say to the other officers present.
“Nobody enters or leaves until the investigation here is complete.”

“So tell me, in your own words, what happened here?” The officer, identifying himself as Officer Ramsey questioned Mr Coleman in the staff meeting room set aside for this purpose.
“A few minutes before you were called in, two men broke into the restricted section, they did not have permits granting them entry. They had entered with the intent of kidnapping, and possible murder of one of the store’s employees, and a deliverywoman who had just offloaded goods ordered here. It was shortly after their attempt that I fired a warning shot, and made clear that they were to leave if they were to avoid immediate repercussions.”
“So you threatened them?”
“As is within my rights and responsibilities, and in addition a part of my job remit to ensure safety and security for the people who work here.” Robert responded calmly. “Their intent was kidnap and possibly murder, thus my actions were proper for the situation.”
“I see.” Officer Ramsey took down some notes, the recorder still on. “So to clarify one detail, it was the two werewolves present, one of whom is an employee here, that were targeted? Plus yourself, four employees, and three security detail present at the time?”
“That is correct.”
“Thank you for your time. I will likely have additional questions for you later, but for now, I will need to speak with all the others present at the time of this incident.”
“No problem. I will be nearby for the next several hours at least.” Mr Coleman left, certain he’d done everything he was supposed to do, and noting that Sally was next in the line to be questioned.

“This would be where that shot was fired to.” Officer Jenkins noted the hole in the ground where the mangled bullet was lodged into, while another one took an image of it for evidence.
“Doesn’t look as if there was anyone standing at this point when the shot was fired.” Another officer, Smith observed.
“If they’re telling the truth.” Officer Sanchez remarked, copies of the CCTV footage in hand as he catalogued them and set them in one of the two cars.
“If they’re not, it should be easy enough to realise it, after all, getting a lot of people to say the same lie is far from simple.” Jenkins replied. “But we’ll know more on that later.”
