Dan glared at Sean. "Won't be getting apart... Won't be getting apart?" Dan repeated. "I can't stay like this!" He tried prying Jay's hand off of his chest, but each pull he could feel his own chest just being tugged too.
"Hey, stop that!" Jay finally said, but he didn't have an arm to swat Dan's hands away with. His only hand was still attached to Dan's chest.
"Knock it off you two!" Sean yelled at them both. "Here, look for yourself."
Dan snatched the device from Sean's hand, and held it up for himself. "It saved the changed! What does that mean?"
"I mean that our changes are permanent! What do you not understand about that!?" Sean yelled. "We can't undo it! I'm sorry!"
Dan was busy pressing buttons on the device, trying desperately to see if he could separate himself from his friends. "No, Sean. Word documents can be saved, and you can still edit them? Why would this be any different?"
"Well for one, word documents are simple writing programs. This is some device that can literally alter people's genetic make-up. Have you seen us?" Sean rolled his eyes.
Dan was not listening anymore, focused on the device. A moment later, he pointed the device at Jay's hand, and pressed a button. A ray of light shot out from the Chronivac, and a moment later, Dan was his own man again. "Yes! It worked!"
"What?!" Both Sean and Jay exclaimed. Jay brought his hand away from Dan's chest, the only thing that was keeping them joined to him. Jay wiggled his fingers, and then looked at Dan. "You did get it to work!"
Dan rubbed the sport where Jay's hand was attached. There was no mark, no evidence that he had once been stuck to his friends. "I told you!" Dan said, in a little childish voice.
"How?" Sean finally asked.
"I removed myself from the random change you did. Now its just the two of you that are effected." Dan smiled deviously.
