"Do you know what would be nice?" Kelly asked me, "If we could help out June and make her life a little bit better."
I nodded my head in agreement, "But what should we wish for?"
"Dunno," she shrugged.
I looked down at my sandwich and took a bite. Her life was pretty miserable and really anything could make it better. I could just add more money to her pay-check. That would help. I could just wish her more luck frankly.
Kelly looked at me with wide eyes, "What if we brought her father back?"
I looked at her. That would fix June's problems. She wouldn't be in this mess if her father never died. But what would I be doing here? Bringing somebody back to life. That is the power of a god. I Looked at the ring as it shined in the ceiling light of the diner. After this, what limits would I have? How corrupted could this power be? I have received something so great and I'd be helping out some one who desperately needs it but how far could I go?
Kelly still looked at me with that glare. She wanted to go through with this wholeheartedly out of the goodness of her heart.
I put on a not to sincere smile and said, "Fine, I wish that June's father never died and everybody but Kelly and I would think he had always been alive."

"Did it work?" Kelly asked with a puzzled look on her face.
"I guess." I was equally confused. I scanned the room.
I was shocked when I heard a voice behind me, "Are you guys all set?"
I jumped a little bit as the woman behind me giggled. I looked up at her. She was a young blonde that was a little chubby (not in a bad way) but she looked nothing like June. Kelly looked at me with a grimace.
"Can we have a bit?" I asked.
"Sure thing."
Kelly then blurted out, "That wasn't June!"
"I know. What happened to her?"
"She's probably at home right now with her father."
I looked around the room once more and then saw it. "No she's not," I grinned and pointed.
Across the room, at a table for two sat June. She was alone and sipped her coffee as she went through her laptop.
"Wow she's different." Kelly said condescendingly.
"Is that bad?"
"No it's just that, She took a pause to form her words, "I thought she would be happier."
"How do you know she's not happy now?"
"She just doesn't seem that way."
"Well I wish I knew how she felt." As the words parted my lips, I felt a light headedness to myself as I...
