"We would prefer if it were you who changed us instead of the jerky teens we met." Blaine said "can you alter reality so that it is that way?"
"Yes, i can, infact my power comes from my namesake jewel, the sapphire." Prince Sapphir said putting his special clamshell shoulder pads on, they were midnight blue as with everything else he wore.
"Figures you'd have something blue." Max remarked
"It is my favorite color." Sapphir replied "Now how would you have liked me to have changed you over that horrible way?"
"Magic seashells please?" Blaine asked
"What type of seashell and what form?" Sapphir questions
"Conch circlet for me!" Max exclaimed
"I prefer nautilus bracers." Blaine said
"Excellent choices, plus in addition to that you will become my adoptive brothers and no one else will have any memory of you or this encounter but me." Sapphir replied "Chronos reversus!"
With that incantation silvery-blue mist from the clamshells swirled around the boys and took them back to 5 minutes before they changed and Sapphir had gotten there just ahead of Rob and Tim with their "limeade".
"Prince Sapphir!" Max and Blaine exclaimed "Nice to see you again."
"Nice to see you boys too, i've got a present for both of you because you're such great friends of mine." Sapphir said "For Max a conch circlet and for Blaine natilus bracers that will turn each of you into merboys like me."
"Really?" Blaine asked getting a nod "that's awesome!"
"Let's do it!" Max shouted
"You might want to remove your shorts though, the transformation would be uncomfortable with them on plus, they'd rip and we don't want any embarrassing things happening." Sapphir suggested.
"Great idea buddy!" Blaine exclaimed as the two removed their shorts behind a nearby rock, stood atop it and put on their gifts which instantly restored their merboy forms and did a summersault into the sea now only knowing themselves as the best friends and soon to be adopted brothers of Prince Sapphir while the older mermen were confused as to why their children friends had been absent but went to look for others.
"Welcome home Prince Goldenrod and Prince Silvermist!" Sapphir shouts "You were given new names in your new life."
"Goldenrod?, i like this jewel/precious metals naming thing, much more exotic than Blaine." Blaine now Goldenrod mused.
"I also love this Silvermist name much more mystery to it." Max now Silvermist said.
"If you think that's cool we've got a whole family named after jewels and other precious things. Our father King Coal, mother Queen Onyx and other 11 siblings Garnet, Amethyst, Aquamarine Emerald,Topaz and Pearl our sisters, a brother set named Diamond, Opal, Peridot, Turquoise and Rubeus the three of us are 14 siblings together and we are the real royal jewels not the treasure in the palace." Sapphir remarked
"So much better this way." Silvermist thought as his life as a human was erased by accepting the new life just as Goldenrod had.
