Nic looked down at the boy that looked exactly like what he'd seen in the mirror that morning. It suddenly struck Nic that he looked kinda cute, especially with the the big, satified grin that had just broken out over his 13-year-old face. Nic grinned back at him.
"Man, it hasn't felt like that in ages," young Francisco said half to himself, looking flushed and happy, his eyes shining. "I'm not sure what just happened," he added, standing and looking up at the towering beanpole that Nic had become, then looking over at the dozing Josh, "but I'm not quite ready to go back yet."
"You like it?" Nic said, amazed. He'd soent so much time yearning to be older and bigger that he'd never have thought an adult like Francisco--even a young, cool one--would want to have a body like his again.
"Sure! Although..." Francisco craned his neck up at Nic, still grinning. "I'll have to get used to being this short," he sighed with mock regret.
"Maybe not," Ric said. Ric bent down and picked up the book, which was still open to the spell that Josh had mismanaged, and began reading aloud.
"What are you doing?" Francisco asked, a little concerned yet excited at the same time--the act of transforming had been very pleasant last time, coupled with the kind of exciting feeling of not being in control of it, like the thrill of a roller coaster ride. Ric ignored him, still reading the strange words aloud. When he got to the bottom of the page he noticed there was an arrow directing him to turn the page, but he knew for a fact Josh hadn't turned the page when he'd read the spell. He stopped, a little confused, and looked at Ric/Francisco, whose eyes were widening as he felt the spell start to take effect...
