Two gay hippie bois in love, you and your boyfriend head through the mall, hand-in-hand, but stop when you approach that barber shop you went to earlier, where you got that free hairstyle that turned into a disaster. And suddenly, you realize that things aren't right. You're not a hippie! At least, you're not supposed to be one. And you most certainly are not supposed to be gay! It's like this place, this mall, has slowly been changing you ever since you came here. First, the barbershop gave you long hair; then you ate vegan food, which turned you into a vegan; then you replaced your original clothing with hippie clothing (including a skirt, or all things!), and turned yourself into a gay hippie boi! And until now, you actually believed you were supposed to be like that. Somehow, this place is messing with your head.
You look at Davis, wondering if he's a part of this. You remember being his gay boyfriend for the last year or so, but you also remember being a totally straight guy without a girlfriend (there's been one that you have had your eye on, though). Is Davis helping to change you? Or is he another victim? That could be. He could be just like you. Maybe he was a normal dude like you, but then got altered by this place and turned into a gay hippie boi, just like you had. This is all so confusing. Why is this even happening to you?!
"You okay?" Davis asks you, squeezing your hands lovingly.
Realizing that you're still holding hands with this guy, you yank them away. Now Davis is really concerned.
"What's wrong?" he asks.
You want to confide in him, but there's a good chance he'll just think you're nuts and try to stay away from you. But he is your boyfriend (a fabrication or not). Maybe he'll be more understanding.
