As you gaze at him you realize he looks rather weak. He takes a step and you catch him. He looks up and as you look in his eyes, the great god was weak. It would seem he is no stronger than a child. He looks at you. "Why have you trespassed into my chamber, mortal?"
You look helping him to a chair. "Curiosity, sir." You look him over. "How is it you're so weak? Aren't gods supposed to be...."
"Yes, mortal. However I've weakened after being in here for centuries. As we speak your friends are possibly stumbling upon the other gods' tombs. There are five of us who survived. I am one."
"Ho.... how do you know of my...."
"Mortal, how do you think you were able to come? We sent for you with the help of an outside friend. You see, the five of us need successors. And you... shall be mine. You will have jackals at your command, mortals will fear your wrath and love your blessings." He looks. "If you do not accept we find others who will."
You look. "I am not turning the offer down, but... this isn't a choice to be taken lightly."
"You speak truth mortal. I shall not harm you should you decide otherwise, but I must ask if you don't choose, that you find one who will."
"Anubis.... I...." You look him into the eyes and smile nodding. "I accept, but... what will happen to you?"
"I shall live on in you. You and I will become one. However... I shall only act as an advisor until you get used to your new power. Then you shall be on your own."
"I understand, Anubis."
