While Kel'rath was finalizing her change, Katie was browsing some of the shop's other eccentricities. The little girl found some of the devices and bric-a-brac delightful and other things terrifying. She was just studying a pickled dragon's heart when a sudden rush of strange tingling drifted from the bottom of her toes to the top of her feet. She wasn't sure what it was, but she felt something lift away from her. Katie didn't realize it, but her former mother's finalized demonic nature had changed her own fate. She was now an orphan, she had no memory of her mother or any of the changes she'd made to her.
Blinking and shaking her head, Katie shrugged and continued on, and Kel'rath sniffed the air. She smelled a human child, the perfect partner with which to cause mischeif and magic. She had no memory of the girl herself, but something about the scent made the new imp girl delighted and nostalgic.
