Jason felt he was ready now to tell her exactly how he felt, so he stepped over to Keiko with all of his courage and tapped her on the shoulder.
"Jason, what is it?" Keiko asked turning around.
"Keiko, there's something....something I've wanted to tell you for a long time now but I've never had the courage to say so." Jason said.
'Can this really be happening? Can my dad, no, he's not my father anymore, he's Jason.' Keiko thought to herself.
"Keiko, what I'm trying to say is that I really like you a lot. Do you understand?" Jason said holding Keiko's hands.
Keiko looked at Jason with shock but didn't reply.
"Give...give me a minute..." Keiko said to Jason stepping towards the ocean.
She looked out towards the ocean and back to Jason, then back to the ocean again.
'He still really loves me, but in a different way now. Should I tell him I love him too? I mean I do, but I still have my old memories of him. I could just as easily wish we both had new parents and that he had been my friend for years and he had never been my father.' Keiko's head was swimming with all these new emotions before she finally fell on her knees to the ground in frustration.
Looking up she saw Jason behind her put his hand on her shoulder. Keiko knew the right wish she had to make next.
