Alice stomped her hoof. Her friends weren't treating her like a friend at all. They were treating her totally like a child, and while she was one, she didn't like to be dismissed like that. So, putting the device away, she turned hoof and scampered down the beach. Her friends were too inebriated to notice her leave.
Alice came up on a group of boys and girls about her new age who were building a sand castle. They all stared as she came up and waved. "Hi, Im Alice."
"Woah! What are you?" One of them asked, a young boy with red hair.
"She's a faun silly," another girl replied. "Like from Narnia!"
"Woah cool!" another boy said.
"I wanna be a faun," The last girl replied.
Alice grinned as the kids gathered around her, asking her to stay and play with them. All at once she felt welcomed and at ease.
