Meanwhile, as Katie was settling into her new life, the life essence of Kelly was finding new purpose and life. As she opened her eyes, Kelly found herself in a new place, a place with stacks of books, toys, bric-a-brac, all sorts of things, almost like the inside of a magical shop. She blinked down at herself. She was not yet physical, but an ethereal being. A voice spoke softly, and looking to it, she could see an old man in a dark blue robe step out from a shelf.
"Ah Kelly, I thought you would arrive. I am afraid your situation is as a result of one of my trinkets...and now the responsibility of your being falls to me." He bowed his head. "I am Merlin, keeper of this Magic shop. Here, you may reside with me if you so wish, and become my apprentice or my familiar. Otherwise, I can send you onto a new life as anything you desire outside this shop, but the choice is yours. I am afraid though you cannot go to your old life, not unless Katie remembered you...and she will not."
Kelly felt a deep sorrow in knowing all she had was lost...but hearing Merlin's words, she was filled with the knowledge of everything that happened. Strangely, she felt no regret. Katie was happy, healthy and going to a new life. She herself had new opportunities so....
