Brendon was pretty sure that something was wrong. He wasn't the brightest guy, and he still felt a little stoned, but even he knew that the girl was not returning to anything close to normal. The thing was massive before, but it looked like it had gained at least another two feet in size with no sign of slowing. In addition, as more time passed she began to loose more of her girly features, and began to look more like a giant lizard monster of some kind. Sort of of like a dragon or a dinosaur. He ran back to the cabinet and examined the vials.
He pulled another pink vial from the rack of test tubes. Maybe the first one was a dud, he thought. The girl did say to give her another dose if the first one didn't work. Then he spied a blue vial. There were quite a few blue vials, but there were considerably less than the pink vial. Maybe the blue vial was actually the antidote; the girl could have been confused about what Rick was talking about when he told her about the antidote. And it would make sense if there was less of it, as Rick would only need to use it in an emergency. Yeah, he thought, that's why she is becoming more monstrous, I gave her the wrong vial. He reached for the blue vial, when he noticed the second test tube rack at the back of the cabinet. He pulled it out to examine it. The tubes were dusty, but every color in the rainbow appeared to be represented in a different vial in the rack. Maybe blue was for boys and pink was for girls, and one of these was the real antidote. He was getting confused, and felt out of his league. Maybe he should find Rick and tell him what happened. Yeah, Rick was an ass, but he wasn't completely heartless. If he explained things right, surely Rick would at least stop her from becoming a complete monster.
Brendon looked over at the monstrous girl. She was even bigger than before, and if she continued to grow at the same pace she would soon block his exit from the basement. He needed to make up his mind soon.
