"How about the Tolliver's party next week?" suggested Mark.
Tony considered that. The Tollivers lived several streets over in a house that was nearly a mansion. Their son, Wayne, was a year younger than Tony and friendly with both him and Mark. The Tollivers were eccentric. They were actors that frequently took the weirdest roles in movies. Mr. Tolliver played anything from aliens to neanderthals. Though he had never become famous, he made appearances in several movies every year and he would come home wearing part of his costume and throw a theme party around whatever part he had just played. This time he had just come home from a fantasy film with magic, elves, and sword fights.
People didn't have to wear costumes at his parties but people frequently did wear costumes, especially since many of Mr. Tolliver's friends also acted in movies playing similar roles.
Tony asked Mark, "Are you thinking we should use the Chronivac to go to the party in costume?"
Mark said, "I was thinking about doing more than that. Let's try to make the Tolliver's party as much like a fantasy world as possible."
Jeff said, "I don't think the Chronivac is powerful enough to change an entire party. We don't even know who all is coming and we'd have to create a Chronivac profile for each guest. It might overload the computer."
Mark asked, "Can we at least see what the Chronivac is capable of. We can at least make the four of us look like real elves and maybe we can create a magic light show just for the party."
Tony and his friends all agreed that it could be a lot of fun. In the week remaining before the party, all five put some thought into what they would do.
