Chris didn’t know where to go, but he decided that his dorm room would be private enough. His roommate, David, was out- or at least he hoped he would be gone by the time he got there. Carefully walking out of the bathroom, Don's clothes hanging from his arm, Chris had Don in-between his hands, which were cupped to prevent anyone from seeing the tiny man inside.
Don felt hot and cramped, and it was hard to breathe in-between Chris's hands. It was dark in there, and Don was nothing short of terrified. What would happen if he just forgot that he was there, or if he lost balance?! Chris realized that Don's life was just too fragile in this form, the dangers too great. What would he do with his friend? After all, he couldn’t be more than a few inches in height.
Don moved through the mess hall calmly, trying not o let anyone see him, he then slid behind a door into the stairs that no one used. He calmly walked up the stairs. His dorm was on the third floor, so it was going to be a long journey. He tried to calm the terrified Don, but to no avail.
Every time Chris took a step, Don lost his balance inside his hands. Its a good thing Chris had big hands, Don thought, otherwise he'd be squished.
finally the two had reached the third floor, after all those steps Don was just about sick to his stomach. Chris walked through the narrow, dim lighted hallway and into his dorm. He was in luck! David had already left for his classes. A huge sense of relief swept over Don and Chris as he set him Don on the kitchen table.
"So what the fuck happened!?!" Chris exclaimed. "I don’t know!" piped the tiny man, still naked and exposed. He felt cold. Chris laid his clothes onto the table.
Meanwhile...

Matt had been so excited when he had made his wish. After a half hour of waiting, maybe more, he couldn’t wait any longer... Matt ran over, across the street to see if the DeSoto's were home. Mr. DeSoto's car and the truck were there, he rang the doorbell, no one answered. "maybe they're already too small" he pondered. He tried the door, it wasn’t locked, and he walked in.
"Mr DeSoto?!?" he yelled into the empty house "its Matt, your Neighbor.... anyone home?!?". No answer. He knew why. He wandered around the house, pretending to be ignorant of the situation. Secretly Matt had brought the wand with him. "MR DESOTO?!?!" he screamed. No answer.
Matt looked everywhere for anything. Any sign of his neighbor… Nothing. He walked up the stairs and found nothing. Peeking in one room, he was shocked to discover all the lights on, and a pair of pants laying on the ground... looking out of place in the otherwise immaculate bedroom. Nothing. He repeated his call. Nothing, he heard nothing. on the other side of the bed Matt found a shirt. He pryed around them, searching for any little men. There were none to be had.
He kept looking, nothing. He continued to cry out their name. No sign of them. A cat came to Matt, and rubbed up against his leg. He stooped over to pet the needy cat when it dawned on him, that something horrible could have happened to them. What if they had gotten killed?!? He didn’t even realize how serious the situation was until he looked at the cat. He prayed that they were all ok.... Who knew...?
This thought haunted him…. It horrified him. He was in shock. He had meant no harm. But because of the circumstances... Matt was panicking.... "Its ok" he reassured himself..."I have the wand with me..." He grabbed the wand out from under his coat and looked at it for a moment...
