As the three children went outside, Justin was surprised to find that his parents cars were gone and two kids bikes were in the driveway where they ought to be. Heather and Sean went to them, putting on helmets without so much as a second thought. As the other two set to the pedals. Sean called out. "Last one there is a rotten egg!" and took off.
Justin was left watching him as he whizzed away, but Heather was still there. She rolled her eyes. "He's always such a show off, huh Justin?"
Justin didnt know what to say but just nodded. Heather padded up, pushing her bicycle. "At least you wait up for me, its nice." The way she said it and looked at him Justin wasn't quite sure what to think. Then she winked and set onto her bicycle. "Come on, we should catch up."
It was right then that Justin was sure for certain what she was doing. That earlier kiss had been strange enough, but now he realized his Mom, this girl, had a crush on him. Gulping, Justin wasn't sure what to do.
