"So what did you want to talk about?" Justin asked her.
"Well lately, it seems like Sean is becoming more and more like one of those idiot jock friends of his. No offense, I know some of them are your friends too."
"None taken."
"I'm just a little worried that he'll stop hanging out with us and we'll stop being friends. I mean I know I'll still have you for my friend but I want Sean to still be our friend too."
Justin wasn't exactly sure what to say to Heather at first, but then he remembered something Heather had told him back when she was his mother.
"Heather, friends can come and go. Sean is hanging out with friends that I think will one day just go and he'll never see or hear from them again. He'll still have the good memories he spent with them in his head, but we're the friends that will always come back to him and he'll always come back to us." Justin stopped and waited for a response from her.
She didn't say anything, but sat there on the window smiling, she then gave Justin a hug that lasted a little long but she eventually broke it off.
"You always know what to say to me. Thanks for always being here for me." Heather said as she climbed down.
Justin sat there in his bed, thinking to himself about the whole day again. He had regressed his parents into his best friends and then gave them brand new parents so they wouldn't question anything, and had made his sister become his adoptive mother. At first he thought it was all in fun, but after that conversation he realized that he wanted to keep being friends with Sean and Heather.
So he took the ring and made another wish.
"I wish I only remembered Heather and Sean as my friends and my adoptive mother as only my adoptive mother." Justin wished as suddenly tons of different memories were being replaced with his adoptive mother in place of his parents, and all the times he had spent up to this moment with Sean and Heather.
His mom thought she heard something and opened the door a little.
"Honey, are you okay?" She asked.
"Yeah, mom. Just fine." Justin answered with a smile as she closed the door and he went to sleep still knowing about the wish ring.
