You wake up, in the same spot, and the sun is still shining. Normally, you would have wondered why the heck you would even go to sleep here all of a sudden, but at the moment, you couldn't care less. You just felt sooooo good! You get up on your knees and get into the position of an almost push-up, and stretch your arms and legs. Now sitting up, you wonder what to do when suddenly, you spot sight of something moving through the grass. It was tiny, but it also looked plump and... juicy. Your mouth waters as you slowly move forward on fours for some reason, not even concerned by the fact that your hands and feet are turning into hairless padded cat paws, and your back legs suddenly shift backwards at the knees to greater help your position. You sneak further and further, the mouse somehow unaware of your presence. Your pupils turn cat-like, and your irises get bigger. What used to be your fingers and toes release sharp claws as you watch the mouse closely. It was there... so close. You just wanted to taste it. When you pounce you suddenly bump into a cat that seemed to have been hunting the same prey as you. Your paw and its are planted strongly on the mouse, which is struggling violently under both of your paws. You look over with sharp eyes at the newcomer, hissing at them. They hiss at you back, and say, "This prey is mine!"
You growl, "No, it's not! I was here first."
The mouse, who couldn't care less about your argument and was trying to escape this whole time, slowly slide out from under the paws due to both of your negligence to keep your force on it. You notice, and your claws instantly shoot out at the mouse before the other cat can even react, proving yourself the better cat. Triumphantly, you scoop up your worthy catch and grab it by the tail with your mouth, with it still struggling. Your incisors slowly sharpen over time, turning your teeth into a cat's teeth, but you take no notice. Your mind is lost in a cat's version, so these things are normal to you, after all. The other cat huffs, but walks away to find another prey, but they don't go too far from you. You drop the mouse into your paws and mewl at it, chomping it down and swallowing it. But your cat mind thinks, 'More! There has to be more. My stomach is not satisfied.' Thinking one mouse isn't enough you try to look for my food, until you are interrupted by the other cat that nearly took your catch.
"If you are looking for food," it said, "then follow me." They turned with a flick of their tail and dashed away. Thinking you had no other choice, you follow along behind, with your ears slowly shifting into cat ears, and your clothes turning into fur, but not all of you is furry yet.
