You feel her lowering you gently by the scruff you your neck. You struggle as the males grow more and more excited, some of them jumping up at you as she lowers. Your legs squirm and kick against the air as you see them getting closer and closer. Your small grey body is feverish as they get closer, probably from embarrassment or just fear, though you're not sure. You here the woman laugh at your struggles and the leaping of the males gathered below you. She tsks and you turn your head to see her waggling a single finger at them.
"Now now, sweeties, behave yourselves. Mustn't hurt the poor girl." she says. The males sit en mass and sit still, though the look they give you and the slight trembling they show give you the idea that they're barely containing themselves. The woman turns to face you "They won't behave much longer. So I advise you move quickly once you're down there." she says. With that she deposits you down near her feet. Your instincts take over, though whether they're human or squirrel you've no idea. You immediately rush off further into the forest and the group of males is quick to follow.
"May the best squirrel win." the squirrel woman says, with that she sits back down and pulls her hat over her eyes and naps lightly
You can smell a strange scent and feel that hot sensation in your body, and it's a fair bet that they can smell it as well. You don't need to be a zoology major to figure it out. You're in heat, perhaps a carry over from that damned root vegetable you ate. You run as long as you can, but your muscles begin to burn from the effort of the chase. You leap towards a tree and dig your claws into its bark as you scurry up its side. You find a sizable branch and lay down, looking over the edge of the tree as you do. You lost a few of the males, but already a few of them are fighting to get to your tree. You only rest for a small time before you can hear the sound of claws scurrying up bark. You run and leap to another tree and then another, but this just exhausts you. Before long you slump on another branch, the strength drained from you. It isn't long before a single male squirrel finds you and wastes no time in mounting you.
As horrifying as the experience is to you, you do find relief from the tremendous lust that root vegetable you ate gave you. You find solace also in the fact that you put up a good run. You've ensured that the strongest, most agile and aware of them will mate with you. You've strengthened the squirrels and by extension the power of your mistress. It is night by the time you regain your strength enough to find a serviceable den to sleep through the night. You are somewhat startled when you emerge to see another squirrel in the den with you.
"Well done, my sweet." she says. You immediately recognize the voice of the squirrel woman. It appears she's capable of adopting the body of a squirrel herself.
"You lead them on a merry chase. The strongest was the winner, and those that lost the race will be strengthened by the effort. And you will carry strong babies. You've done a great service to us." she says.
"Then how about changing me back?" you say.
"No. Your punishment stands. You tried to force yourself on me. A crime if I were just some village girl. The fact that I'm royalty...well I don't suppose that makes it any worse or better, but I had the power to turn you into a squirrel. And a squirrel you shall remain, but take heart in the fact you have my protection to go with your punishment. You will serve me, if only by continuing to mate and produce offspring, and I will do my best to protect you. Now eat." she says gesturing to a group of nuts you hadn't seen before "You're eating for a litter now."
