“If we bring it in a little at the waist, then I think it’ll be done.” Mr Stevens, the tailor stated as Clemens held like a statue.
Since Jenny wasn’t hung-over, suggesting to him that her party had been a tame affair - which he would’ve guessed if she hadn’t told him all about it, including some of the cards she received - she’d been more than ready for this day, their last official consultation.
He was in one room as his suit was tailored, a three-piece suit of satin-black with faint, barely visible stripes, though Clemens had been insistent on the shirt being a colour other than white, to which Mr Stevens had relented by using a pale-sea-blue/white with arctic-white tie.
“There. That’s perfect.” Mr Stevens exclaimed once the waistcoat was brought in the necessary amount, enough to make the fit snug without being restrictive. “So do you intend for me to keep it?”
“For now.” Clemens replied, impressed by how well the suit went with his fresh scales. “Until the Dressss Rehearsssal. The day before the Wedding.”
“Very well then. Once I have the time I’ll be ready.” Stevens accepted as he left Clemens to see how Jenny’s dress was faring.

The adjacent room was where Jenny was standing, having her more elaborate dress fitted. A wide multi-layered skirt that almost reached the floor, with an intricately patterned corseted waist sturdy enough to support itself without shoulder straps, leaving them and her arms bare.
“With some earrings and a bracelet, this will be beautiful.” Mr Stevens showed his immense satisfaction with his work.
“Just the one?” Jenny queried.
“Yes, just one. Keeping it simple, yet elegant, plus, a slight asymmetry is what makes these designs work. The fit is good, is it not?”
“Yes, it holds just where it needs to.”
“Excellent, now, Clemens has stated that he wishes me to keep his suit until the day before, would that be the same with you?”
“It is.”
“Then once you’re in your usual clothes, I’ll get the date and time then I’ll be here when the day comes.”
“Thank you.”
“You’re welcome.” Mr Stevens answered with a smile. “It’s your big day after all.”

“I take it the tailoring went well?” Mr Wilkinson asked Clemens and Jenny once they were back in their normal clothes.
“Very well.” Clemens replied. “Ssso I believe that leaves food, drink, music and photography?”
“That is all that remains, yes.”
“Then, here’s who we’ve selected for the food and drink.” Jenny produced the note with the details of the selected vendor.
“Yes. They’re a good decision.” Mr Wilkinson complimented the choice. “And that brings us down to the last two items.”
“For the photographer, we’ve been debating between thessse two.” Clemens admitted the slight indecision, the two photographers in question being a youngish man named Anthony Edwards, and an animal-person who looked to be based on a Skink Lizard, known by Ryan Torres.
“Hmm.” John spent several long moments looking over the details. “I think Mr Torres would be your best bet, having the greater experience. If you‘re fine with that, I can make the arrangements.”
“I think then, it will be Mr Torres then.” Jenny decided, Clemens nodding in approval.
“Then all that’s left is to choose between these for the Music.” Mr Wilkinson moved on after noting down their choice of photographer. “You are certain of your decision? With Ms Harper?” The one they’d opted on as they were having their suit and dress fitted.
“Yesss, we’re quite cccertain.” Clemens replied.
“Then, I believe that’s everything that needs to be covered, covered now.” Mr Wilkinson ticked off close to the last item on the lengthy list. “So if that’s everything, it’ll be the day before when we meet again.”
“Actually, there isss one more detail.” Clemens cut in. “It concerns photography. Sssome have asssked about whether or not, it’ll be fine to take you own picturesss.”
“I see.” Mr Wilkinson checked the photographer details again. “It seems that neither are willing to allow that, using only their own photographs for it. I can check for you, but I make no promises.”
“I sssee.” Clemens accepted this, if not all that keenly. “Well thanksss for the offer, and if you could let usss know as soon asss possssible.”
“I will.” He responded warmly. “So? Anything else?”
“Nothing I can think of.” Jenny answered this. “So the coming Friday?”
“This coming Friday.” Mr Wilkinson confirmed.
