Nate and Eric walked into the school and immediately went their separate ways with one heading towards the eighth grade section and the other for the Juniors section. However, as they both navigated the school in their respective directions all they could think was that everyone, or at least almost everyone around them were some sort of werebeast. Nate walked by and noticed a couple kids waving at him, he waved back instinctively and kept going. It wasn't until a bit later that it dawned on them that they were probably member's of Ben's pack, in human form. He mentally facepalmed and hoped they understood that he was still feeling a bit overwhelmed. He opened his locker and deposited his book bag inside, pausing to remove his notebook and textbook for history class. He then closed his locker and headed to his first class.
He entered the classroom and quietly sat towards the back by the windows. He watched as one by one, students filtered in and took their seats. To Nate's surprise, Ben walked in and took a seat next to him.
"Good morning," he said with a smile, almost as though nothing had ever happened. Nate blinked in disbelief and smiled to himself. Their teacher, Mr. Bergstrom, came in and class began as most classes did with the teacher lecturing on with interjected questions from the students. About halfway through the class, Nate tore a piece of paper out of his notebook and wrote a short note on it. He folded it in half and handed it to Ben. Ben unfolded the piece of paper, read it and smiled. The note read, Can I watch? Ben smiled at the reference and wrote a note back, folded it and handed it to Nate. He unfolded the note and read it. The response read, Of course.
After class was dismissed, Ben turned to Nate. "Meet me outside of school. We'll go to my house and I'll show you everything. Sound good?"
Nate nodded. "Yeah, that sounds great, thanks."
"Awesome," replied Ben. They both packed up their things and made their way to their next classes.
