Mark was brought to the next room by Don and Hugo, which had the same metal walls and look to it, but this one was decorated. There were posters on the wall of workout routines, and the room was filled with gym equipment. Mark stared at the equipment, confused, as if he was supposed to know what to do with it.
"I read in my spare time, you guys expect me to know how to use a gym?" he asked.
Don shrugged, "It's part of your new life, you don't really have much of a choice now."
Hugo piped up, "Besides, it's healthy for you. No man ever died working out at the gym. Just follow our lead."
The three men went to the bench press, and Mark watched Hugo and Don lift impossibly heavy weights onto their barbells and press it with ease. They took some off for Mark and set him on it, telling him to match their form. As soon as he started lifting Mark thought Hugo's last statement was definitely a lie. He was having extreme difficulties even lifting the barbell, and he sat up after a solid couple of minutes of attempting, covered in sweat. As soon as he sat up, the bottle that Don was holding before was brought to Mark's nose again and sprayed in his face. Mark coughed a bit, and decided to go at the bench press again so he wouldn't be embarrassed. He went at it, and found after the first couple of lifts it was very easy, like lifting stuffed animals. He got Don and Hugo to add weights to it, and he went through the bench press like it was clockwork.
The three went around to different machines and free weights after, making sure to complete a full body workout, and Mark was having a relatively easy time. He was still breaking out a sweat from all of the exercise but he was able to lift everything with excellent form. Don and Hugo congratulated him as they were ready to go on to the next room, and Mark just shrugged it off, "Do you think this was my first workout ever? I do this in my free time." he said. Don and Hugo looked at each other again, laughing a little bit. He still looked scrawny, he was just able to lift like he's been doing it for years. That would change as they moved on. Don and Hugo brought Mark onto the next step of the procedure.
