Realizing what he has done to Jamie, Mikey decides that he liked Jamie better when she wasn't so attractive. He had heard stories about how irresponsible and sometimes even dangerous teenagers who looked like adults were. He decided to see what setting back the time. He watched a Jamie's shoes became sandals one more, and her toes were painted a baby blue. Her skinny jeans receded until they were shorts, and her pink T-shirt became a sweatshirt again. Her breasts became an AA-Cup again, and her fingernails tuned the same color as her toes. The make up seemed to disappear, and even her purse seemed more slim.
However, Joey didn't just want to turn Jamie back; he wanted to see what would happen if he kept going. What he saw, shocked him. Jamie's shoes became sneakers, and her toe and finger nails were no longer painted. He shorts became baggy jeans, and her sweatshirt changed from pink to grey. Her hair became short like a guy's, and her piercings disappeared. Her purse became a wallet and a phone, both going into Jamie's pockets. Jamie also seemed toned as if she worked out.
Scared of turning Jamie into a guy, Joey stopped changing the time. The new Jamie was a total tomboy. She was very masculine in the very way she acted. It was as if Joey had another boy in the house. All night the two of them talked about sports, cartoons, videogames, and anything else you wanted. As the time for Joey to go to bed approached, you felt bad leaving Jamie the way she was. Using the watch, he quickly returned Jamie to her old self.
That's when Joey realized that his parent would find the empty box. Jamie was in the restroom, so he only had a few minutes to figure out what to do. Quickly he put the watch on his nightstand and put the watch already there away. Now it was a matter of finding what to put in the box. It had to something of his that his parents wouldn't notice is missing...
