She doesn't exactly remember how it happened. She just entered the store, hoping to find something magical, and soon she was talking to a beautiful woman who was obviously the shopkeeper, asking her about a purple ring. It was on a small glass box, labeled as "The Assimilation Ring."
"This ring will allow you to become anyone, or anything, overtaking their bodies." says the shopkeeper..
"So... it will allow me to possess people?" the girl asks, confused.
"No. That's a different thing. This is "assimilation". Instead of gaining control over the body of someone, you </i>become</i> that someone. Your mind will reshape itself into an exact copy of the person you're using the spell into. Let's suppose you're using the spell on a woman named Clara. When the casting is over, you will wake up as Clara. You will think like Clara, act like Clara, do the exact same things Clara does... because you won't be just in Clara's body. You </i>will be</i> Clara. You won't remember anything from your old existance, and life will continue as if absolutely nothing had changed. The only difference will be that you will still have the ring in your power somehow, and will know exactly how to use it." she explains.
"I understand... but what would happen to my old body, and the person I used the spell onto?"
"Your old self will be erased from existance. It will be as if you were never born. But of course, your conciousness will live in the body you had assimilated. Now, for the person you had become... you can choose where their mind will go. There is a wide array of options, which vary from keeping their conciousness in the same body, or transferring it to an object... Most people decide to keep the mind in the same body, in a way where they think they're the one controlling the body, while in reality, the person who assimilated them is actually doing it. They won't notice a thing until they die or until they assimilate a different person, which will give them control of their body back." the woman explains.
"Wait... you can transfer the mind to an object?" asks the girl.
"Well, yes, but few people choose to do that. When that happens, the mind becomes trapped into an eternal orgasmic bliss of sorts, with no hopes of ever becoming human again. You can also assimilate an inanimate object with the ring if you want, but of course, you will be trapped into the same orgasm forever, and the ring would dissapear. The only way to recover your humanity would be if someone touched you. If that happens, you will assimilate their mind and recover the ring, while the person who touched you would be trapped as the item permanently. You cannot assimilate people who have become items."
"This is definitively interesting... how do you use the ring?"
"You have to be staring at what you want to become, or a photo of it, be it digital or printed. You'll then have to touch the ring, pronounce the words "Assimilate", and think of the fate you desire for your victim, if they are human."
"Wait... I can't set a time limit?" This thought scares the customer a bit.
"No. Once you use the ring for the first time, your old self is erased forever, but you'll be able to use your newfound power as much times as you want. It's a small price to pay, because with the possibility of using the power unlimited times, you essentially become inmortal."
"Alright, I am sold. How much does it cost?" wonders the girl, interested.
"Since you seem so interested in the ring, i'll give it to you for free. Just take care when using it." she smiles.
Hours later, she find herself in her bedroom, with the ring in her finger. She is definitively going to use it, to get rid of her old, boring life forever. Endless options run through her head. She can become anyone or anything, and life their life.
