As she awoke the next morning, she saw she was next to a small pond. She realized she hadn't eaten or drank anything in the last almost 48 hours. Three horses bodies will require a LOT of food and water, she realized, especially when each one of them alone weighs almost 3500 lbs. She tried to figure out how drinking worked with her new form. Bending her neck down would not work, as her mouth would be blocked from the water by one of her bodies. She tried, attempt after attempt, to find a pose that worked. She tried to sit on all of her bodies, her legs folded beneath her. She tried to flip some water to her mouth with her tail, as if it were an elephant's trunk. To no avail, she just could not get her body to cooperate to drink. "You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make it drink," she thought, defeated.
But then, she had an epiphany. "What if I sat down and rolled slightly into the water?" she thought, cleverly. She sat down, folded her legs under her, and she tipped her head to the side. She felt the water on her front and left bodies; it was cool, and felt fresh. Slowly, she leaned her head down to the water, half submerging her face. As she began to drink, she noticed something odd about her tongue. It felt longer, larger than she was used to. She had the tongue of a horse! She unrolled herself slightly, uncovering her face from the water, and used her just over a foot and a half long tongue to scoop water into her mouth, much like a dog. Doing this for about ten minutes, she got up but suddenly felt pangs in her three stomachs, signalling to her that she needed, desperately, to eat.
"Shit! What do horses eat? Grass??" she panicked, returning to the lake to try the grasses growing around it. She realized pretty early on that she would have to get down on her bellies again and lean her head over as far as she could before she could rip off and scoop some of the grasses into her mouth, using her newly discovered, lengthy tongue. "Oh, man, this stuff tastes great!" she said, as she slowly ate most all of the grass around. Jen, now full, began again her eastward trek.
Jen slowly gained confidence in her gait, walking along at a brisk pace, although cautiously because she could barely see past her humongous ass. She also figured out the outer limits of her body, via experimenting with distances to walls in abandoned buildings in the desert. She even tried to gallop, but she was unable to, considering one of her bodies faced backwards and the other two at seemingly unnatural angles. After a long day of this, she decided to rest. She'd have to make up quite a bit of time in the weeks to come in order to get back home!
