Suddenly, Yvette was pulled back out of the car and thrown down on the pavement. William sat up in surprise as he saw Yvette get up and run away, darting into the woods. William's savior leaned down and looked into the car. It was the Dean of the school. William breathed a sigh of relief. The Dean backed away from the car as William climbed out of the backseat, pausing to pull up and fasten his trousers again.
"Who was that? I didn't recognize her." The Dean looked over William, making sure he was okay. Despite being visibly shaken, he appeared to be fine.
"One of my students, Yvette something or other. I'd have to look it up on my class rosters." William just wanted to get home and pretend this never happened. He had never been so humiliated in his life.
"You sure you're okay? You look a bit shaken." The Dean was genuinely concerned.
"Okay, you know what, I'm not. I don't mean to unload on you but I have somehow moved to Weirdsville USA where everyone is a were-something and my eldest son is all to eager to join up and is probably going to have to have sex with some hoe like the one that just tried to rape me in my backseat to do it!" William wanted to cry right there, but he held it back.
The Dean reached over and grabbed William's shoulder reassuringly. "Now, Mr. Anderson, I know everything your family has been through over the last few days has been intense. But we're not all like that. Hell, hardly anyone here is like that. And that girl will be disciplined, severely, I can promise you that just as soon as we, you know, figure out her last name. Aside from our certain eccentricities, Moon Lake is a very safe town. We have one of the lowest crime rates in the country. Please don't hold the actions of one clearly disturbed girl against all of us."
William nodded quietly. "I won't, I promise. I should probably get home."
"Of course. Have a good night."
William climbed into his car and slowly backed out of his parking space. He nodded and smiled as the Dean waved him off. He took a deep breath as he began the short commute home. He was definitely going to have to have a long chat with Martha when he got home about what the found out. He started to debate if he should mention what happened in the parking lot though. He couldn't help but keep going back and forth on that part.
