Looking at the results of the dice roll, Samantha chewed her lip before muttering "Nine. Better than normal... I think." She reached down to take a card when she saw Emily's piece move forward instead of hers. "I guess the board thinks she's still in the game."
Tracy winced, "I hope it thinks you were just rolling for her."
Samantha took the card and read, "No. I don't." Emily suddenly gave out a small burst of baby-giggles. Samantha sighed and continued reading, "In your rush to start again, you skipped the turn of your friend."
"That's not a good rhyme," said Tracy.
"Shut up," said Samantha.
"Hey!", he said offended.
"No," said Samantha quickly. "The next line on the card starts off with 'Shut up'." She showed it to him.
He blinked at the text. Sure enough the next line did start with 'Shut up', but it was oddly separated from the rest of the line with an ellipsis. "Oh. Sorry. Wait. Did the wording change after I spoke?"
"Not that I noticed." She started again, "In your rush to start again, you skipped the turn of your friend. Shut up... as a babe can be a problem, but you can take from her years or else make your own turn more awesome." Samantha closed her eyes to think.
Sandra sighed. "So you can age her and make yourself younger, or make your next turn worse. Just give her a couple of years. I mean, at least she's still human. Worse case, if this...", she glanced down at her hooves, "it's fixed, she'll grow back up. But you don't want to risk yourself that much."
"Careful," Tracy said. "We don't know if the game will choose the number of years changed. It didn't say how that was determined."
Samantha stayed quiet for a few moments longer before opening her eyes.
