"Sorry about the roundabout way of asking ya, but do you want a full time job as my clown partner? I saw ya across the crowd and I got good senses about this stuff." Says Smokey. Your flabbergasted, you've been looking for a job, this'll be perfect. "Yes, i can get to work ASAP!" you quickly reply. "Perfect," he says, "follow me." Smokey leads you into a nearby tent, picks up a clown suit and hands it to you. "Changing rooms over there. Meet me back over by the make up station so we can get ya set up, Smokey says. You nod and go over to the changing room, take off your clothes and slide on your clown costume. It's a little baggy but it fits you nicely. You fold up your clothes and carry them out to the make-up station with you. At the make-up station, there is not only Smokey, but 2 other clowns. "Hand me you clothes," says one of them. "You won't be needing them anymore." He mutters. You pause for a second, but realize you misheard him and hand him the clothes. The clown takes them and walks away. "It's about time we turn ya into a real clown," pipes up Smokey. "First we'll need to give you a name. Want to know why they call me Smokey?" He asks. You nod. Suddenly you feel the other clown grab you by the shoulders, looking over you freeze up. Instead of human hands, they're covered in scales! You look back up at Smokey, he removes his left hand glove, revealing a large, hairy, clawed, paw-like hand. He reaches that same hand up to his face removing the make-up, bit by bit revealing his true form. Smokey, who you thought was an ordinary clown, is actually an anthro bear. You try to get up and bolt out, but the lizard clown is too strong for you. You try to scream but he uses his scaley hands to muffle them. "We change ourselves to prove our commitment to being a clown. Once we have a name, the carnival is our perminent home. We use this magic make-up so no one discovers. Now it's time to make you a true clown and name you." Says Smokey. You watch as he reaches into a mini fridge full of syringes. You keep trying to get away but the clowns grip is too strong for you. "I've got the perfect name for ya," says Smokey as he pulls out a syringe.
